Lab - mini project

Read the instructions carefully and do this simple lab project!

Use Packet tracer version 6.2 or with the file name “PacketTracer62_setup” for
synchronization between US. I have attached the setup along with this instruction or you can
download it yourself!!
Deadline: Thursday - 19/09/2013 EC or 27/05/2021 GC until 11:00 o’clock local time.
1. Consider yourself as a network administrator for a certain company or office and you are about
to deploy a new local internet network.
2. A company may have different sections like Finance, Human Resource, Management and many
more.
3. The company gave you certain requirements to fulfill and those may include the following.
a. Each work section should be its own network (i.e. separate broadcast domain)
b. For security purpose, a router must be set as a guard before getting out of the local
network and surf the cloud.
c. Switches are used in each local LAN for better bandwidth utilization.
d. For disaster recovery, every network device (except servers, personal computers and
workstations) should have a redundant connection.
e. Assign random number of employees in each work section and set
workstations/personal computers for them
f. For wireless users, set a wireless access point for some of the sections (And for
demonstration add some wireless users).
4. The company must have branches in different cities (and/or in different locations in the same
city).
5. Use at least 4 inter connected routers as a cloud network.
6. You can add more features as you like. The more features you add the better your reward will
be.

Lab Report.
1. Your report shall explain your company briefly.
2. Whatever you design, explain in detail in a report.
3. Show your IP plan, which Ip for which network and device.
4. Add any other relevant information where necessary.

Important!!!
** You can form your own random group**

** One group cannot contain more than 4 members **

** Every group shall design its own network. If two or more lab projects are fond to the same
or copy of each other (even with other section groups), then all of the lab projects will be
severely penalized. **
