DESIGN THINKING AND INNOVATION PROJECT NAME:- SMART DISTANCING COVID changing consumer life INTRODUCTION Social Distancing being the ‘need of the hour after Covid 19 we as a group decided to doa project on this aspect regarding smart social Cieeacis Sen ta eee ete ea Ree OBSERVATION Different countries recommend different distancing guidelines to help limit the spread of coronavirus. As parts of the world begin to leave lockdown, some of these guidelines have begun to be refined — Denmark reduced its recommended distance from 2m to 1m in May, and the UK now advises people to stay Im+ away from others, rather than 2m in all circumstances. The question is how likely people are to comply with this new rule. Looking back, surveys conducted in the UK in May found that up to 90% of people said they've been observing the 2m apart rule ‘at all times’, This is reflected in quantitative data, to a point. Analysis by the company Vivacity, drawing on 363 sensors from several locations across the UK, shows that while the number of interactions within 2m in city centres did decline by 95% after the lockdown in March, it has been on the up over the last few weeks — with only about 54% of pedestrians strictly following the 2m guidance. INSIGHT GIVEN THAT WE MIGHT OVERESTIMATE OUR JUDGMENT OF 1M, WE MIGHT EXPECT PEOPLE TO NOW KEEP A DISTANCE OF SLIGHTLY MORE THAN 1M From a behavoural perspective tho the impact of a move fr in relation to thi ‘anchor’ val estimates. So in the same experim estimates of 1m distance varied d were first asked to estimate a 2m di seems to be no. Without a 2m ancl distance to be 1.1m away froma r first complete a 2m estimate did n estimate, which remained at 1.08m PERSONA OF THE PROJECT Name: D Karthik Age: 28 Profession: electrical engineer Place: Madhya Pradesh Region: Bandra Hobby: reading and travelling Education: completed his M.S. in University of Cambridge.
