APPOINTMENT LETTER
1. Write reference to your letter dated………………………………………………………………………….
Wishing to teach at the above named school, I am glad to inform you that have been
offered a vacancy to teach at the school.
2. Your appointment takes effect from…………………………………………………………
3. You would be placed on a three month’s probation with monthly pay of ………………….
after which appointment would be continued subject to good work and conduct with
due monthly salary for a full teacher.
4. Your monthly salary would be……………………………………………………. and this would be
increased annually based on good attitude to work, punctuality and conduct
5. Your appointment would be terminated or would summarily dismissed for any of the
following offenses: laziness, lateness, absenteeism, immoral behavior, ruddily
behavior or disrespect towards the headmaster, fellow teacher, any member of the
school management board, disrespect towards parents and not showing love or care
for the pupils.
6. No teacher should dress ungodly like: makeups, nails and putting on lip gloss, female
teachers are not to wear trousers and too tight cloths and male teachers should put
on decent hairstyle and dress decently.
7. Your school of work would be supervised by the headmaster under regulations of the
ministry of education and under the doctrines of the SDA church of which the school
belongs.
8. You are to take part in all school activities like parade, Wednesday worship, Friday
Music and general cleaning of the school compound.
9. Once in school you are not leave for the house or for town for any personal matters
without seeking permission from the headmaster.
10. You would be considered as vacating your post if you do not turn up for school
reopening.
11. Should you wish to resign your duty as a teacher or staff, the headmaster must be
notified not less than one month before resignation, failure to do so would be lead
to forfeiture of salary.
