ert i Berd ee beet INTRODUCTION ELECTRICAL DATA SWITRON Control switches are Cam operated Thermal current (1") 40 Amp. switches which are ideal for use in industrial Continuous current .. 32. Amp, applications like Tripping and Closing operations of Operational voltage 660 Volts circuit breakers for Local Remote/Auto-Manual High voltage test EKvRG selection of breaker operations. The versatile = a Ambient temperature 55°. design of these switches enable infinite switching combinations. SWITRON Control switches are Frequency of operation .. - 300 cyclesfhours manually operated and robust in design Mechanical life 1 million operations incorporating double break butt contacts. Electrical life (AC. Inductive)... 2.5 lac operations Short time withstand current .. 384 A. for 1 sec. Short circuit making capacity... 542 A. SWITRON Control switches are mainly categorized into 1) BREAKER CONTROL SWITCHES > 2) PROGRAMME CONTROL SWITCHES “errr 3) MOTOR CONTROL SWITCHES 1) BREAKER CONTROL SWITCHES NeaTRAL Breaker control switches are essentially spring return switches having spring return from either sides of neutral position at 45°. Other switching angles such as 30°, 60°, 90°, can be BREAKING CAPACITY AMP. DC provided on request. These switches can be provided with following features. Eiet MECON, b) Sequence Locking Device This is a mechanical device incorporated in the spring return switch which prevents any two successive operations. Generally successive closing operations are prevented, keeping trip free. ©) Centre Key Lock To prevent unauthorized operation of the switch, center key lock can be provided on the top of the switch. It is lockable in four positions at 90° (0°, 90°, 180", 270°) and also at -45°, +45°. Two varieties of locks are available D Lever tock (L). 2) Tee type or knob type lock (T). 2) PROGRAMME CONTROL SWITCHES Generally these switches are stay put type or combination of stay put and spring return, Wide variety of combinations are possible to suit specific programs. 3) MOTOR CONTROL SWITCHES For controlling induction motor up to 1SHP. DOL, this variety of switches are preferred, : ( Following switching combinations are available. 2) OFF-ON 2) REVERSING 3) STAR-DELTA 4) SYSTEM SELECTOR 5) TWO SPEED SEPARATE WINDINGS 6) TWO SPEED DAHALANDER WINDING 7) TWO SPEED WITH REVERSING DAHALANDER WINDING CHOICE OF INDICATING PLATE Indicating plates are available in following sizes. a: 75x88mm, and b: 75x75mm, ‘Supplied with plastic shroud and aluminum indicating plate, COMPONENTS SPECIFICATION Disc: Moulded from engineering thermoplastic viz. 30%. glass filled nylon, which is fracture proof and having excellent insulating properties. Mechanism Housing: This is also moulded out of 30% glass filled nylon. Cams: Cams are moulded from good bearing material like nylon 6/6. Contacts: Fixed and moving contacts are pressed parts made out of brass and suitably electroplated. The bi metal rivets having Silver-cadmium alloy are rivetted on to fixed and moving contacts. Springs: Each moving contact is loaded with two conical stainless steel springs which give adequate contact pressure. Shaft and other parts: Shafts are made out of leaded steel and other parts out of CRC sheets suitably electroplated to protect against corrosion. ¢ mounting switch — ons DIMENSIONS acy Non-Lockable Lest 55 200 CEC eno) Packets 1 2 3 Each Length 728598 13 Panel Cut-out Lockable CELLS) Croc} Packets 1 2 3 Each | Length 90 103116 13 } Panel Cut-out eo ‘i For SPRING RETURN SWITCHES For Stay Put SwitcHEs .
