Q.1.User is getting blank screen when accessing financial reports& unable to

view any reports while accessing financial report and received error as attached

Answer: Open works space>>Go to file menu in >>select preferences >>select

Financial Reporting >> under user POV select Preview as ON.

Q.2.Member selection Icon is missing in FDMEE

Answer: This is because of the the browser settings. If We open in internet

explorer it will show like that. We need to Go to tools-- compatibility view
settings. Remove the compass group from the "websites you have added to
compatibility View".

Q.3.How, can I see the ownership % in the SmartView file ??

is it possible to see it with the Hs.get Value formula?
Make sure that you have set:
ICP#ICP None
Value None
Account#POWN

(all in the square brackets).

You will only receive a value if you do not own 100%.

Q.4.Unable to import Flat data file in FDMEE.

Answer: User has done changes in the import script. There was an extra
space that was included in the import script. We Need to remove these
extra spaces with no spaces.
 Q.5. I have a Financial Reporting Studio report which has two grids (from
different cubes). Can I do calculation between the two grids — for example
ratio = “”Col A of grid 1″” / “”Col B of grid 2″”?

Answer: Yes you can if both grids are in the same report. You need to include the
grid names. “Col A of grid 1” / “Col B of grid 2” would be “Grid1.column[A] /
Grid2.column[B]”. Good luck and have a great day!

Name Error While receiving data in Excel

User gets #NAME errors while working with SmartView

Answer: Checked if the user is connected to private connections, the user did not
have any connections. We created new connection but the error still existed. Upon
further investigation we found that SmartView was installed under C:\Oracle
Instead of C:\Hyperion. Requested to un Install and Install Under C:\Hyperion.
On Log in to Repository. Application is blank

User unable to to login to Repository with the message Application cannot be

blank

Answer: After entering user name and password, then click on the green refresh
icon next to cluster. This should automatically populate the application.

FDMEE Troubleshooting Steps

Answer: Navigate to the Datamanagemnt -- >Process Details. Highlight the

location where the user is experiencing an issue. Review the log and check for any
errors, Log contains all the details of the activity which is happening within
FDMEE. Ensure user is using the right excel templates, Ensure the UPS range has
all the data selected and data in present within the correct start and end lines,
ensure that there is no duplicate mapping, ensure all the members have the required
mapping

Invalid POV member specified: %0User got the error" invalid POV member
specified: %0' when opening a data form

Under the reporting site, go to user --> and click on " POV reset form ". Once this
form is open. You can go back to the form where we had the issue and check.

1.Is it possible to make column headers multiple-lines in HFM 11.2?

A: Previously it was default behavior. It was possible to disable with Header Option
[Dimension]=Fixed: on.

For HFM 11.2 there is no difference if there is "fixed on" or not. It never makes multiple-lines
headers and you don’t see headers at all.

Please advise if some new option is applicable to adjust column headers.

CustomHeaderStyle: white-space: normal;
or
Header Option [Dimension]=Style: white-space: normal;

It works for me.

2.Are you able to open HFM journals with Smart View journal extension version 21.100?

=> I'm using HFM 11.1.2.4.208 and with SmartView 21.100 I get the following error: "no
journal found" as soon as I click on "Manage journals"

While it was working well with the previous version of SmartView.

Do you have the same problem?

The functionality works fine in 21.100. It could be because there may be no journals for
the POV selected. After you click ok on the prompt "no journal found", you will see
Manage Journals page. Select the appropriate POV and refresh the screen to see the
journals.
3.While creating the HFM application i made one mistake, could someone please help me.

I created “Alise” Dimension local and deployed, now I want to Associate Account Dimension
(Shared) with Alise Dimension, but I am not able to do, could someone please help me to fix
this.

Later I have deleted the Alise (Local) Dimension and created Alise Dimension as Shared, when I
tried to deploy I am getting error stating – “First successful deployment is contain Alise as Local
dimension”.

Is your Alise dimension still visible in HFM? if yes than you will not be create that as a shared
dimension again. Try to delete Alise from EPMA, deploy to HFM. Refresh HFM application.

5.*****I had 2 forms opened. I asked a question in both. But updated in one of the forms. And
clicked the common save-button (the disc-symbol) Both forms post-forms-commit-triggers
seemed to be fired. How to fire only the trigger for the active form?

*****Just occurred to me that what you want is possible and my example had a typo.

If you open each form as follows:

OPEN_FORM (<form name>, ACTIVATE, SESSION);

This should allow what you want. Journal data not clearing after unpost journal

6.I had one issue that I have a journal at [Parent Adj] that I unposted but issue is journal data not
clearing for one account and one entity while rest of the entites is showing zero at [Parent Adj].
I have tried to remove that particular account in journal template and posted again the journal but
still data showing for that account.

Had anyone faced this issue before. Pls let me know what might be the reason.

When you unpost a journal, HFM reverses it out, making the amount zero. Even if you delete the
journal, I think the net zero amount remains. If you have a non-zero amount, can it be that it does
not come from the journal but instead comes from a rule? The only rules that can write to [Parent
Adjs] are in Sub Calculate.

Also, the calc status will not return to "No Data". It will always be "OK", "OK SC", or "CH"
depending on what you do, but it will not be "No Data".

7.When extract data for an entity in HFM, it shows 0 balance as journal (usd adjs).  But when go
to Manager Journal, search that entity in the relevant period, there is not any journals for the
entity.

We are at 11.2.4.  Anyone experiencing the same issue and understand what may cause it?

If you post and the un-post a journal you will get a zero balance since the un-posting of
the journal negates the original journal data. If you delete the journal I think (but am not
certain) that the zero goes away. If it does not, you could use a one-time HS. Clear
function on the target intersection to remove the hard zero.
