Destination 1

The pace of life is what attracts most visitors to one of the smallest of the Greek islands-Paxos. It’s so
small in fact that it has no airport. The nearest is the one on the neighbouring island of Corfu.

Destination 2

You don’t have to jump on a plane to get away from it all. If you know where to look, you can find
perfect isolation closer to your home. Pembrokeshire in South Wales is famous for its footpaths which
take weeks to walk … just perfect for one man and his dog.

In the Indian ocean, a thousand miles off the coast of East Africa you’ll find a group of 115 islands-the
Seychelles. They have a reputation for all year round government controlled tourism, but it’s not a
cheap place to visit.

Destination 4

Swedish Lapland, 100 miles inside the Arctic Circle is a place where temperatures can go as low as -
40°C. But still holidaymakers come here to stay in the Ice Hotel, a giant igloo which is rebuilt every six
months after it melts in summer.

Destination 5

With huge population plus millions of visitors every year, Hong Kong is a lively and colourful place.
Public transport is cheap, fast and efficient. There are loads of information centres, with handy free
maps and guides.
