Mr. Kalidas Prasad, a BIMTECH student, is seated next to Mr. Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA SPORTS. He noticed the CEO reading a
newspaper article about the metaverse. As a sports enthusiast, he pitched an idea to Mr. Andrew about using Sports in
Metaverse
WHAT IS
METAVERSE ?
A metaverse is a collection of 3D virtual environments designed
to foster social interaction. It is sometimes defined as a
hypothetical iteration of the Internet as a single, worldwide virtual
environment that is assisted by the usage of virtual and
augmented reality headsets in futurism and science fiction.

The metaverse is a shared and persistent virtual universe that


exists in real time and is generated when virtual reality and
digitally enhanced physical reality collide.

A metaverse aims to take the social aspect of gaming


to completely new heights. With virtual environments,
players will be able to invite each other to gather and
play games within an interconnected virtual
community, creating an experience almost similar to
being with your pals in person

It is projected that by 2023, there will be over 46 million


people watching eSports events. A metaverse opens a
new door of opportunity for the eSports industry.
Imagine being in a virtual audience, at a virtual venue
as a member of the audience. You’ll be able to feel the
electricity of the crowd and interact with other gaming
enthusiasts, all in a virtual space.
