As you are aware, we have been facing rust issue on inside part of tipper bodies as the existing

painting process is not adequate to avoid rusting. Our quality and special process team had
been working on painting process of inside of tipper bodies and now suggested use of Epoxy
Zinc Phosphate matt black on inside of cubed bodies. Brief process is mentioned below;
however detailed process shall be released later. Request you to order the material to ESDEE
paints. The entire PO will be amended as per the cost impact attracted by this process. We
intend to start it by 1st Dec 2011. 

Present process –

Following painting process was used:-

1. Clean with GP Thinner & wipe the surface with a clean tack-o-rag.

2. Application of Syn coat Matt black air drying paint.

3. Base & Thinner ralio - 4:1

4. Thinner : ST - 49A

5. DFT : 25- 30 micron

 Suggested process -

1. Clean with 3 in 1 solution (Gardaacid 10A).

2. Wipe the surface with a clean cloth to remove excess solution.

3. Kept for drying for 15 minutes

4. Application of Syn coat Epoxy Zinc phosphate Matt black air drying paint.

5. Base & Hardener ratio - 3:1

6. Thinner: ST - 20A

7. Viscosity .22 sec.

8 DFT 30 - 35 microns 

# Paint Consumption on LPK2518 20 cu boc (for ref only)

a) Primer + Hardener = 2.8 lts.

b) Thinner = 0.550 lts
