END OF TASK TASK 25-64-00-200-801 7. Flashlight Check (With Flashing or Push To Test - LED Indicator) NOTE: This procedure is a scheduled maintenance task. A. Location Zones Zone Area 200 Upper Half of Fuselage B. Operational Test (1) Make sure that the flashlight is correctly positioned in the mounting bracket, push the PUSH-TO-TEST button momentarily and release. (a) Ifthe LED comes on green, then the battery pack is above the minimum voltage, and the flashlight can stay in service, (b) Ifthe LED comes on red, schedule the battery pack for replacement within three weeks. NOTE: The battery pack will operate for approximately three weeks if the LED comes on red. (6) Ifthe LED does not come on, refer to the Table 201 to identify the problem. (2) Fora flashlight with tamper shield, remove and discard the tamper shield (3) Remove the flashlight from the mounting bracket. The battery pack is depleted or has tailed Removed the flashlight from the mounting bracket. Ifthe flashlight does rot turn ON immediately, then remove and replace the battery pack. After replacing the battery pack, make sure that the flashlight is ON when the flashlight isnot in the mounting bracket. Reinsert the flashlight in the mounting bracket and make sure that the LED turns on when the push-to-test button is pressed Electrical failure inthe flashlight electronics, If changing the battery pack doos not turn the flashlight ON, there is an electrical failure in the flashlight Jelectronios. Return flashlight for Electrica failure in the mounting bracket electronics," Ifthe flashlight turns ON when itis removed from the mounting bracket, then there may be electrical failure in the mounting bracket, Replace the mounting bracket, i necessary. Return the defective unit for service Pogo contacts not making contact [While the flashlight is eecurely installed in the bracket, move the flashlight slightly in the eft direction and the right direction. Make sure that the Pogo contacts are making contact with the flashlight Battery pack installed incorrectly (backwards), Install the battery pack correctly. The flashlight does not turn ON when it is removed from the mounting bracket, The battery pack is depleted or has failed Replace the battery pack Afier replacing the battery pack, make [sure thatthe flashlight is ON when the ashlightis notin the mounting bracket. Reinsert the flashlight in the mounting bracket and make sure that the LED tums on when the push-lo-test button is pressed Electrical failure inthe flashlight electronics changing the battery pack does not turn the flashlight ON, then there is an electrical failure in the flashlight electronics.
