Extemporaneous Speech

Hi, good day. Today I am here to talk about a dog named Leao, the loyal dog, who sits
for a second consecutive day at the grave of her owner who died in the disastrous landslide.
Loyalty is something that everyone wants to experience. Having a loyal dog is like having a
loyal and trusted best friend who will never leave your side even at your worst. It is like one of
the greatest gifts that you will ever receive. Now, looking back at the picture, the dog has lost its
owner. It is a very heartbreaking and heart-melting story. Imagine you are in this kind of
situation, where you unexpectedly lose someone you love. Isn’t it hurtful and devastating? Can
you imagine how much more heartbreaking and difficult that situation is for a dog who has spent
almost all its life with its owner, a dog who has only had that owner to love and care for her? It is
more than people might expect. It is like a child losing its very own mother and being left
without anyone to take care of her. Imagine how lonely that is. This situation can be compared to
the dog in the picture because, like humans, dogs have feelings too. If you experience grief when
you lose someone, it is the same or maybe twice for the dogs. The image depicted how loyal
dogs are once you gain their trust; it is something irreplaceable. The loyalty of the dogs extends
far beyond your grave; their loyalty will remain even after your death. So, I want you to
start opening your eyes to something that you have been missing. Some people nowadays are
being abusive to some animals, especially those that are dogs and cats. Some of us have been
using them just to make money, and we don’t even care if they are in good condition as long as
we get benefits from them. We should stop these wrongful activities. They deserve love and care,
like how they give us eternal love and loyalty once we get their trust. It is time for us to payback
and appreciate their existence. Animals are not just toys nor equipment to make money. They
have feelings too, like humans. They can love and get hurt too, like humans. We should treat
them as if they were our own family. We should begin to do our best to take care of them
because these animals can be the greatest treasure you will ever have. They will forever stay by
your side and will never leave you behind, like how the dog in the picture showed to everyone.
