How to create a connection between a CPU 1214C programmed with TIA Portal (v14) and a CPU 315
2DP programmed with Step7 v5.5 through a CP 343-1 Lean?

REMINDER: In the CPU 315 2 DP you have nothing to program, you only have to configure the DB
you want to use to exchange data.

Material Configuration:

You must add a dummy CPU 315 2DP configuration in the TIA project and connect it to the CPU
1214C to communicate with the GET/PUT blocks configurations.

You must configure the network between the two CPUs.

In “Device and Network”:

1- Create the PN/IE network.

2- Create a S7 connection between the 2 CPUs.

Watch the Properties/General settings, check the IP addresses, the subnet and the local ID.

You have to create the data blocks to exchange data.

Then you add the PUT/GET blocks:

Details of the PUT block:

Adress of the data to reach on the CPU 315

Adress of the data on the CPU 1214C

Connection parameters:

Network ID must be the same that the one

configured in the connection parameters.

GET block detailed: The parameters are similar to the PUT blocks.

WARNING : The Req input of the GET/PUT blocks works on rising edge.
