Bobby Fischer Biography
He was born in Chicago on March 9, 1943.
He learned to play chess with his sister, at 6 years
old.
He was the invincible child prodigy of chess.
At 14 years old he got the title of International
Grand Master, for having won the United States
Championship.
He defeated practically all the great players.
He was the first American to win the title of world
chess champion, defeating the Soviet Boris Spassky.
He is considered an icon of the cold war.
He was World Champion from 1972 to 1975.
He was considered by many to be the most brilliant
chess player of all time.
In 1975 Fischer decides not to appear to defend the
title against Anatoly Karpov. He did not play in
public again until 1992.
He was a fugitive, and since 2004 he lived in
Iceland, a country that had granted him political
asylum.
In 1996 he announced his Chess960 or Random
Chess.
He died in Iceland on January 17, 2008.
How to play random chess or chess 960?
There’re 960 different possibilities of an initial
game configuration.
The same pieces and board are used, but the place
where the pieces start changes, which can start on
any of the squares in the first row.
The King has to be between the two rooks. To castle
the pieces must have come out.
The King and Rook must not have previously left
their original square
The castling rule is modified to allow the possibility
of small and large castlings.
One bishop has to be on the white square and one on
the black square.

Internacional, por haber ganado el Campeonato de
Estados Unidos.
Derrotó a prácticamente todos los grandes
jugadores.
Fue el primer estadounidense que consiguió el título
de campeón mundial de ajedrez, al vencer al
soviético Boris Spassky. Se le considero icono de la
guerra fría.
Fue Campeón del Mundo de 1972 a 1975.
Fue considerado por muchos como el más brillante
jugador de ajedrez de todos los tiempos.
En 1975 Fischer decide no presentarse a defender el

público hasta 1992.
Estuvo fugitivo, y desde 2004 residió en Islandia,

¿Cómo jugar ajedrez aleatorio o ajedrez 960?
Existen 960 posibilidades diferentes de una
configuración inicial de la partida.
Se utiliza las misma piezas y tablero, pero cambia el
lugar donde las piezas comienzan, que puede

primera fila.
