Liwasan St, Sinasajan, Peñaranda Nueva Ecija is the potential area for putting up the Methane
Production Plant. The following factors are considered in selecting the site:
Raw Material Availability:
One of the most significant factors to consider is the availability of feedstock in determining a
plant’s long viability. With this, places where agricultural and livestock activities mostly exist are
considered.
Nueva Ecija is recognized as “Rice Granary” of the Philippines. It shared the largest number of
farms in Central Luzon utilizing 196.4 thousand hectares of land for agriculture. Also, 132.1
thousands of cattle are being reared and tended in Central Luzon. Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija alone
has 100 hectares cattle farm. Thus, the raw materials for the production are readily available.
Transportation
Nueva Ecija has a primarily land based transportation infrastructure. Transportation
infrastructure in the area is modern and developed in that there is a network of all-weather
roads, highways, and bridges, that make the highly Property accessible.The selected location is
near the national road so the raw materials and main product can be transported easily.
Energy Availability and Water supply
Four large rivers - the Pampanga River which cuts through the province, Rio Chico along the
Tarlac Boundaries, Diaman in the north and Penaranda River in the south nourish Nueva Ecija’s
fertile farm lands. The water resources of the region have been harnessed for use to irrigate
farm lands, to generate power for domestic and commercial use, for aquaculture production
and for recreational uses.
Site Characteristics
The region Nueva Ecija has the tropical rainforest climate prevailing. It is usually (very) warm,
humid and rainy all year round. The average annual temperature for Nueva Ecija is 30°C.
The location is surrounded with trees, thus, there is less probability of flooding and landslide.
Telecommunication
The Globe Telecom and Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. telecommunication networks
are available. This implies that when it comes to communication, there is no struggle.
