Attendance & Discipline: Attendance and discipline are vital in the academic
success of a student.

➢ 75% attendance is mandatory. But 100% attendance is highly

appreciated.

➢ Students are advised to be punctual and in time to the classes and do not
disturb the teacher and the fellow students by coming late.

➢ Students are expected to be self disciplined and maintain decorum in the

class.

Homework/Assignment:

➢ Assignments will be posted in the class website as per the assignment

schedule.

➢ Submit the solutions of the assignments during lunch time on the

scheduled date.

Exams & Grading:

Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE): (40 marks)

Teacher Assessment (10 marks) + Mid Semester Examination (30 Marks)

Teacher Assessment: TA (10 marks):

a) There shall be 2 Assignments and 2 Minor exams (Quiz/Slip test, etc.) for each
course at regular intervals of time.
b) Minor exam-1 shall be based on Unit-1 syllabus, Minor exam-2 is based on
Unit-3 syllabus.
c) Assignment-1 shall be based on Unit-1 and Unit-2 Syllabi and to be submitted
before MSE-I, Assignment-2 shall be based on Unit-3 and Unit-4 Syllabi and to
be submitted before MSE-II.
d) Average of marks secured in Assignment-1, 2 & Minor exam-1, 2 marks shall
be taken under TA.

Mid Semester Examination: MSE (30 Marks):

a) There shall be 2 mid semester examinations (MSE-I & MSE-II) of 2 hours

duration each.
b) It is mandatory for the student to take both MSE’s.
c) MSE evaluation shall be done as given below:

Page No.: 06/06

MSE marks awarded = 70% of the best of MSE-I & MSE-II + 30% of other
MSE marks.
Example : A student secured following marks
MSE-1 marks : 10 out of 30
MSE-II marks : 20 out of 30
MSE marks awarded = (70% of 20) + (30% of 10) = 14+3 =17
Minimum requirement for passing the course is to secure 35% of marks assigned
to the ESE (End Semester Exam).

External Semester Exam: (60 Marks)

There shall be an End semester Examination (ESE) at the end of each semester for
three hour duration.

Total Marks (Mid Semester Examination & External Semester Exam.) : 100 Marks
