Explanatory note
The Embassy of Sweden in Buenos Aires refers to the attached information
regarding approved residence permits.

A person carrying a valid decision on residence permit granted by the

Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket) has the right to enter Sweden
without a residence card if he/she is exempted from the requirement of
having an entry visa to Sweden/Schengen.

The decision on residence permit granted by the Swedish Migration Agency

(Migrationsverket) should be read as explained in the attached example. The
resident must show his/her permit decision when entering
Sweden/Schengen.

La Embajada de Suecia en Buenos Aires hace referencia a la información
adjunta sobre permisos de residencia aprobados.

Una persona que tiene un permiso de residencia aprobado en Suecia por la

Agencia Sueca de Migraciones (Migrationsverket) tiene derecho de entrar a
Suecia sin una tarjeta de residencia si él/ella está exento/a del requisito de
tener una visa para entrar a Suecia/Schengen.

La decisión de permiso de residencia emitida por la Agencia Sueca de

Migraciones (Migrationsverket) debe leerse como se explica en el ejemplo
adjunto. El/la residente debe mostrar su decisión al entrar a
Suecia/Schengen.

Uppehållstillståndskort till viseringsfria

När en person, som är undantagen kravet på inresevisering till Sverige/Schengen,
beviljas uppehålls- och/eller arbetstillstånd kan han/hon resa till Sverige utan
uppehållstillståndskort. Han/hon ska i dessa fall besöka Migrationsverket i
Sverige för att lämna biometriska uppgifter och uppehållstillståndskortet kommer
att utfärdas efter inresa.

Residence permit card for those who are visa exempted

When a person who is exempted from the requirement of having an entry visa to
Sweden/Schengen is granted is granted a residence and/or work permit, he/she can
travel to Sweden without a residence permit card. He/she will in these cases visit
the Swedish Migration Agency in Sweden to submit biometric information and
the residence permit card will be issued after entry.
