340 E. Huron St. Suite 100
Ann Arbor, MI 48104

To Ms. Tina Hamilton and Ms. Amy Starkey:

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to apply for the Home Equity and Mortgage Loan Processor position
at the University of Michigan Credit Union (UMCU). My current and past work experience, education, and
passion for learning make me an ideal candidate for this position. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology
Management from Eastern Michigan University and an Associate’s Degree in Photographic Technology from
Washtenaw Community College.

In my journey at UMCU and due to the COVID 19 pandemic, I was given the opportunity to assist the Real Estate
Lending department in a remote role touching both home equities and mortgages. Adjusting my role so radically
required quick learning, flexibility, and willingness to collaborate with the team for support. As I became more
comfortable in my role, I sought out new responsibilities and opportunities for growth. Despite being less active
in my branch operations role, I strived to seek out opportunities for members to strengthen their relationship
with UMCU. In 2019, I was given the opportunity to help my team, and all of Branch Operations, develop by
taking responsibility of IRA training. I updated a previous PowerPoint and supplemental worksheets, created a
training outline, and managed the schedule of deadlines. This experience honed my ability to encapsulate
complex financial processes into easily-absorbed presentations, and provided valuable experience in developing
multiple team members simultaneously. Within my home branch, I have mentored a series of new hires, teaching
UMCU’s culture and vision of relationship building and coaching excellent member service and UMCU product
expertise. Outside the branch and prior to the pandemic, I have actively participated in countless UMCU events
including being a Lion’s Cave Team Member and Fall Rush Team Lead in 2021, which helped increase UMCU
visibility on campuses and in communities.

I enjoy going above and beyond what is expected of me. I am energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated to the
UMCU mission and serving our members to the highest standard. I look forward to hearing from you to further
discuss the position.

Sincerely,

Kylie Marceau
