ORIENTATION FOR PARENTS AND LEARNERS

Two days prior to the scheduled orientation, the parents and learners were
given load cards for them to be able to attend the JDVP virtual orientation. The said
virtual orientation was attended by the Surigao Education Center TVET Coordinator -
Mrs. Annie A. Abucejo, JDVP SEC Coordinator - Mrs. Emee M. Magoncia,
Secondary School Principal III Jose Gil L. Escabal, SHS Assistant School II
Principal of Surigao del Norte National High School – Dr. Queen Ann M. Navallo,
and the respective advisers from SNNHS namely: Engr. Jessie Darryl Eviota, Engr.
Engracio Pongcol Jr., Mr. Rex Phillips Col, and Mrs. Lilibeth Caser.

Since there are four sections to be oriented, the participants were divided into
two batches. The orientation for parents/guardians was conducted in the morning
and in the afternoon was the orientation for the learners. The meeting started with
the singing of the Philippine National Anthem followed by the welcome address of
Mrs. Annie A. Abucejo. The information about the Joint Delivery Voucher Program
was explained and elaborated by Dr. Queen Ann M. Navallo. The trainors from
Surigao Education Center also delivered their messages to the parents and learners.
 The first batch was oriented at 9:00 – 10:30 in the morning attended by
sections Flores and Volta under the advisory of Engr. Jessie Darryl Eviota and Engr.
Engracio Pongcol Jr. having a total of 79 participants. It was then followed by the
second batch attended by sections Ampere and Alcaraz which has a total of 78
participants under the advisory of Mr. Rex Phillips Col and Mrs. Lilibeth Caser. The
virtual orientation for parents ended at exactly 12:00 noon.

In the afternoon, the orientation for learners started at 1:30 – 3:00 pm for the
first batch which was attended by a total of 82 participants. The second batch
attended by a total of 80 learners followed right after and it ended at 4:30 pm. The
learners were oriented about the schedules for releasing and retrieval of modules,
including the dates for online class/consultation and long test.

The said virtual orientation was ended with the closing remarks of the JDVP
Coordinator of SNNHS – Engr. Jessie Darryl Eviota, where he sincerely thanked the
parents and learners for sparing their time and effort to attend the said meeting.
