Flannel board pieces
These are a great tool to help children become involved in the reading of the story. Each
child can choose the correct charter and use the pieces to tell the story as it is read, or
to retell the story. This page can be printed out on a t-shirt iron on transfer and ironed
onto a sheet of felt and cut apart for traditional flannel pieces. Or they are easily printed
on cardstock and laminated. Put a piece of hook Velcro-type fastener or a magnet on the
back to use on a felt board or magnet wipe board. Or use Popsicle sticks taped to the
back to make puppets.
