B.ED.ADMISSION NOTICE -II
2010-2011 FOR LOCAL CANDIDATES
In continuation to Advertisement Notice No. B.Ed. Admission/2010/1399 dated 24.06.2010, it is
for the information of Local candidates who could not apply earlier or have become eligible after
declaration of B.A./B.Com/B.Sc results of re-evaluation, that they can present themselves for on
spot counselling for admission for the session 2010-11 as per following schedule:-

13.9.2010 (Monday) 9.00 a.m. 36% to 50%

Eligibility : - The candidates must have passed their Bachelor's Degree Examination in the
Faculties of Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, BCA, BBA (under 10+2+3 or 10+2+2/
10+1+3 pattern), Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Forestry, Music and
Fine Arts from the University of Jammu or any other statutory University in India registered with
the Association of Indian Universities and have secured atleast 40% (39.5% is treated as
40%) of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination in case of General Category
and pass percentage in case of reserved categories (as specified in admission brochure
available on University Website).
Procedure of submission of application form :- The admission form is available on website,
its downloaded version complete in all respects, should be accompanied by crossed bank draft
worth Rs.1300/- (which is non-refundable) issued by any nationalised/scheduled Bank drawn in
favour of Director, Colleges Development Council, University of Jammu payable at Jammu,
(J&K) alongwith attested photocopies of all qualifying certificates/degrees.
Procedure of Admission : - Admissions shall be made through on spot Counselling on the
basis of merit at the graduation level. The candidates have to be personally present at the time of
Counselling.
IMPORTANT NOTES :-
a). All the candidates shall bring two Crossed Bank Drafts worth Rs.1300/- (non
refundable ) and Rs.24,920/- of any Nationalised/Scheduled Bank drawn in favour of
Director Colleges Development, University of Jammu payable at Jammu besides all
requisite documents in original at the time of Counselling.
b) Invitation to Counselling shall not guarantee the right to admission.
c) Candidates are advised to bring Bank Drafts at the time of Counselling as there shall be
no provision for preparation of Bank Draft on Sunday.
d) If the candidate reports with incomplete documents or without demand draft he/she will not
be considered for allotment of seats on the particular day.
e) Candidates may also visit University website for upgradation of latest information.
f) Request for cancellation of seats & refund of Fee can be made upto one day before
the last date of counselling.

2010-2011 FOR NON LOCAL CANDIDATES
In continuation to Advertisement Notice No. B.Ed. Admission/2010/1399 dated 24.06.2010,
applications on prescribed format are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the B.Ed.
regular course.
Eligibility : - The candidates must have passed their Bachelor's Degree Examination in the
Faculties of Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, BCA, BBA (under 10+2+3 or 10+2+2/
10+1+3 pattern), Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Forestry, Music and
Fine Arts from the University of Jammu or any other statutory University in India registered with

Asstt. Registrar, B.Ed. Admission, Administration Block, University of Jammu, Jammu by
Registered post/speed post /courier only so as to reach upto 15.09.2010.
Procedure of Admission : - Admissions shall be made through Counselling on the basis of
merit at the graduation level. The Counselling schedule shall be notified separately on University
website (www.jammuuniversity.in) on 25th September, 2010 and counselling will start on
28.9.2010 as per the notified schedule.No separate invitation for counselling shall be sent
indivdually to the candidates. The candidates have to be personally present at the time of
counselling at Jammu and only those candidates who apply in time would be considered
for admission and there shall NOT be any provision for ON SPOT COUNSELLING.
IMPORTANT NOTES :-
1. Candidates who have/will obtain B.Ed. Degree from the University of Jammu are
eligible for Employment in Central Govt. and other states as communicated by the
NCTE (A statutory body of the Govt. of India) vide its circular No. 49/21/2005/
NCTE(N&S) Dated May 31,2007.
2. No document/certificate will be accepted at the time of Counselling.
3. University will not be responsible for any postal delay and forms received after the last date(s)
shall not be accepted.
4. No INDIVIDUAL COLLEGE (except M.C. Khalsa College of Education which has
been authorised to admit 50% of its sanctioned intake under minority status) or
ANY AGENCY anywhere in the country is authorised to make admission of
candidates to the B.Ed course on behalf of University of Jammu.
5. Hand made Bank drafts will not be accepted, payment can also be made through
NEFT System:- Bank details J&K Bank Ltd. Branch New University Campus Bank
Account No.0345040100010381, IFSC Code-JAKAOCANAAL (Please read it as JAKA
zero CANAAL). The candidates should fill the UTR No. in place of draft number.
