Directions: Please do the following activities below.

1. Go online and look for news items on whistle-blowers. Identify if the crime or unethical act that
they are exposing as well as the perpetrators of the crime. Detail your findings and opinion
below.
- Whistle-blowers are the ones singing like a canary when they witness a crime that
they can’t bear to hide with themselves. For me, it wasn’t bad at all as they are
exposing people’s wrong deeds and in fact, they lowkey bring justice.

2. What is the difference between autonomy and heteronomy? What does autonomy have to do
with free will in contrast to animal impulse?

- Autonomy is a person’s ability to act based on his morals or his natural self without
even knowing it while heteronomy is a person’s action based on his desires.
Autonomy with free will can still be rational while animal impulse is similar to being
reckless as you don’t think before you do something.
