1. Truthfulness
• A sick person telling people around him about his contagious disease so
everyone can take measures.
• The police telling a mother that the newly discovered body is most likely her
missing son.
• A sick person telling the whole truth about his condition so the doctor can
properly make decisions.
• Properly communicating about the things that upsets you in your relationship.
• The government telling the public the current state of the country as it goes
through the pandemic.

2. Confidentiality
• The teacher not announcing who got the lowest score in the exam.
• Lawyers knowing the whole truth about the client’s situation.
• The media refusing to reveal the full name of the first COVID-19 case.
• A priest keeping the confessions private.
• The psychiatrist keeping the diagnoses exclusively to the patient’s closest
family.

3. Autonomy
• Choosing a specific kind of vaccine.
• A person choosing his own religion
• A person choosing his own gender based in his own feelings.
• A voter can freely choose a candidate.
• Freely choosing one’s lifestyle (food, exercise, sleep patterns, etc)

4. Informed consent
• Doctor informing the patient and his family about the risks of the surgery as it
is an uncommonly practiced method.
• The family decided to pull the plug that supports their grandmother who’s
under comatose for over a year.
• A guy making sure that the girl he is about to have sex with has consented the
activity and is not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• A research participant is fully oriented about the research description that they
are about to take part.
• A student receives a student-handbook of the school he enrolled in for him to
be aware of the school policies.
