WATTLE AND DAUB COB

Method:

A large lump of stiff mud is mounded

into an oval type shape. A row of these
cobs of mud is laid and pressed. The
process is repeated until desired height
is reached.

Method: ADVANTAGES:
The Bamboo and straw structure supports the roof.
Mud is then plastered over this mesh of bamboo •Inexpensive
and straws. •Fireproof
•Seismic resistant
Issue:
•Can be used for heat insulation
Due to excessive rainfall, the mud plaster is washed
off. However, the inner bamboo and straw structure •It can be used to create artistic, sculptural forms
remains, which is covered with mud plaster again, •Sustainable, environmentally friendly material
after the rainy reason. •High thermal mass
