It qualifies as a Mega City because the population is more than 10 million people, and
they are at 18 million people.
2. They move from Japan to Brazil and feel more Brazilian than Japanese. Some come as
children and others as adults. The push factors are to find peace and prosperity and the
pull factors are new and better opportunities for work.
3. The concept of sequent occupancy relates to Sao Paulo by still having small towns and
enclaves in Brazil. Also growing their shops and businesses by passing them down and
making them bigger and successful.
4. Squatter settlements evolved by going from cardboard shacks to solid buildings and
churches also being introduced. They are located in the Northeastern states.

1. Many employees left the Central Business District because of cheaper land and the
suburban lifestyle.
2. Farmland in metropolitan areas is under threat because of suburban sprawl
3. Edge cities are fullfed employment sub centers far from the center cities.
4. Motorola left the Chicago CBD for an edge city because of high taxes and congestion.
