Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death
globally and scientific approach of understanding the
pathophysiology for building new treatment strategies
require the use of working animal models. This workshop
will focus on providing the hands on experience with Gold-
standard techniques used in cardiovascular research..
 Who can Participate : UG/ PG Students/Research
Scholars/ Faculty members and who others who are
interested in Cardiovascular research.

 PROGRAM IN A NUTSHELL
 Experiential learning of the isolated perfused rat heart
model using ML176 Langendorff apparatus, PL3508 power
lab 8/35 data acquisition system and lab chart pro software.
 ECG recording in rat using 2-lead MLA 1214 spring clip
electrodes and FE136 animal bio amp.
 Measuring blood pressure using FE221 bridge amp
interfaces with the PL3508 power lab system and MLT844
physiological pressure transducer.
 Recording non-invasive rat BP with the help of IN125/R
NIBP system.
 Demonstration of tissue/organ Bath.
