College of Natural Sciences
and Mathematics (Goals)
 To provide students with adequate
background in Natural Sciences and
Mathematics;
 To provide students with a strong
foundation in their field of discipline
relevant to their pursuit of higher
education;

particularly in the area of
specialization in sciences and
ultimately contribute to the
development of the entire nation;

Chemistry Department
(Objectives)
 To produce well-informed, well
rounded, peaceable citizens who will
be good stewards of their knowledge
and their environment.
 To prove students with accurate
stock knowledge in the field of
chemistry for fulfilling practice of the
field as well as to prepare them for the
graduate work.
 To provide intensive and extensive
training in laboratory techniques in
order to gain skill and confidence in its
methods.
 To hone the st udent s’ mind t o
critically analyze real and theoretical
problems and apply chemical
principles in investigating and/or
proposing a solution to these
problems.
 To satisfy the requirements of the
board of examiners for chemists.
 To produce globally competitive,
patriotic and trustworthy graduates.
