WARM-UP ACTIVITY: Find Someone who… Interactions:


Time: 15 min.
1. T hands out photocopies and explains the activity. T-S
2. T explains the formation of sentences using the white board. T-S
3. T asks Ss to form one sentence for each part of the exercise. T-S,S-T
4. T asks Ss to form two circles and rotate every times he says so. Also, while
rotating they need to ask the questions from the photocopy. S-S,

PRESENTATION: Reading: Billionaire rips a hole in his Picasso. Interactions:
Time: 20 min.
1. T asks Ss to go to page 16 of their workbooks. T-S
2. T asks different Ss to read out loud the story of the millionaire. T-S,S-T

4. T divides the board in three parts and asks Ss to explain how each tense is

5. T uses time lines and the sentences given by Ss to explain each tense. T-S

Activity 1
1. T divides the students in pairs. T-S

PRODUCTION ACTIVITY: Historical Events. Interactions:


Time: 20 min.
1. T asks Ss to write on the board some important events of the recent past. 9/11 T-S
2. Ss complete on the board a total of 7 important events. S-S
3. T asks Ss to copy those events in their notebooks and write questions to ask what
the other person was doing on that date. T-S
4. T asks Ss to stand up and move around asking different Ss their questions. S-S

PRODUCTION ACTIVITY: Solving a Crime. Interactions:


Time: 25 min.
1. T tells Ss that he needs their help to invent a crime with as many characteristics
as possible. T-S, S-T
2. Ss describe possible scenarios and characteristics. S-T
3. Once the crime has been stablished, T divides Ss in two groups. T-S
4. One group will be police officers and the other will be suspects. T-S
5. T indicates to the police officers that they need to prepare several questions to
interrogate the suspects and also tells the suspect that they need to prepare
answers to possible questions made by the police. T-S
6. T gives Ss the time to prepare their questions and defense. S-S
7. T assigns one suspect to each police officer to be interrogated. S-S

9. T finishes the activity by asking who they think is the criminal. T-S
