I came up with four ideas for my film and while I only like one of the films (BUSTED THE

HIJACKING
FILM), I will still do a focus group for all 4 ideas and see which one people like the best so I can develop
my ideas and maybe problem solve any of the negative things they have to say. I asked four people
(16_19) for their opinions, two were boys and two were girls so I can get both genders opinion on my
work.

Which idea do you think is the best?

Girl 1: Personally, I like the horror comedy idea more because I don’t think that anyone else has done a
comedy idea yet, but I'm not sure if this will be good enough to do a fear.

Girl 2: I like them all but the slasher idea I do think would be the easiest one to film because it doesn’t ask
for a lot from you.

Boy 1: Slasher because it would be easy and the fear of blood would be easy to show

Boy 2: I think you should do the hijacking bus idea, but it does sound really hard to film.

As you can see from my results, not many liked the idea of the hijacking bus film that I was really hoping
for. This has put me off from developing it a bit more, but the rest of the films do not stand out to me
because they all look generic, but as the answers say, it will be much easier to film and plan for. I have a
lot of thinking to do, but I still feel as though I will pitch my BUSTED idea.

Do you like these genres on my mind map?

Everyone said that they liked horror, thriller and the slasher genre. This is great news for me, as my
target audience focus group have all agreed upon the genres I am pitching, meaning I can continue to
develop within this genre moving forward.
