To Whom It May Concern:

It is my great pleasure to recommend Ana Canela-Villanueva in her desire to pursue higher

education. I have the privilege of being her teacher this 2021-2022 school year as she is in my
Anatomy and Physiology class. Ana arrives on time daily and is engaged during each lesson. In
addition, Ana is currently taking BIOL 50 at Merced College as part of the dual enrollment
program.

Ana is an honest, kind, and responsible student. Each day she is motivated and focused to
achieve her goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. She is an excellent candidate for the School of
Health Sciences as she possesses defined qualities to succeed in the medical field, such as
working hard, patience, compassion, and a passion for helping others.

Ana has proven to be extremely disciplined in managing her time with her academics and
extracurricular activities. She was highly involved in the basketball team her Freshman and
Sophomore years, assisting in keeping time. Moreover, she currently has a full time job working
at Sammy’s Taqueria in Merced, CA.

I am confident that with your generous contribution to her education she will not let you down.
She will represent her family, school, and community with the utmost honor. Ana will be the
first in her family to attend college. She is bilingual in Spanish and was granted the Seal of
Biliteracy. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Ana for any endeavor she chooses to pursue in
her life.

If you have any questions please do contact me at mclopez@muhsd.org and I would be happy to
discuss her character or past academic work. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Michelle Lopez
