IN HOTELS OR ACCOMMODATIONS

On 8 March 2022, YAB Prime Minister announced the country’s transition into the
Endemic Phase and the borders re-opening effective 1 April 2022. All travellers must
undergo an RT-PCR test two (2) days before departure and obtain a negative result.
Travellers who have received a complete vaccination do not need to serve quarantine
but must perform a professional RTK-Ag test within 24 hours. While travellers with
incomplete / have not received the immunisation must serve a five-day quarantine
and undergo an RT-PCR test on the 4th day or professional RTK-Ag on the 5th day.
Travellers who do not have accommodation facilities in Malaysia are required to book
one.

All travellers must download, activate and register the MySejahtera application
(https://mysejahtera.malaysia.gov.my/intro_en/) one week before leaving for
Malaysia. For non-citizen travellers, it is mandatory to have insurance coverage and
hotel or accomodation reservation. Travelers who have not completed or have not
received the COVID-19 vaccine will receive a five-day Home Surveillance Order
(HSO) starting from the date of arrival.
