Saw large drop of rain, splashing in the pond.

“Then invite my friends Mr. Tortoise and Sir Lizard.”

He put on a rain coat

And took his rod and basket
and set off enormous hops
To the place where he kept his boat ; a green lily leaf.

And waited for fishes catched.

I think I should like some lunch.
Said Mr Jeremy fisher
I will eat a butterfly sandwich
And wait till the shower is over

A great big water-beetle came up underneath the lily leaf
And tweaked the fishing rod.

Mr Jeremy cried, jerking up his rod.
But what a horrible surprise!
It was a not a just fish, Stickleback fish
Covered with very sharp and prickle spine.

And Made his boat teared of too.
And ooops Mr Jeremy ran down the pond.
Then a big fish made him stuck in its mouth.

But the big fish was so displeased with
The taste of the raincoat that spat him out.

He swam with all his might to the edge of the pond.

I have lost my fishing rod.

But it does not matter.
I should never ever have dared to go fishing again.

And his friends both came to dinner.

Instead of nice dish of fishes,

They Had a roasted grasshopper
With lady-but sauce

Which frogs consider a beautiful treat.

But I think I must have been nasty
