Activity 1: Draw and Tell

Directions: Draw the different non- locomotor and locomotor

movements and write down the different definition of each.

Non-Locomotor Movements

1. Stretch- refers to extending a joint in order to make a body part as long and straight as possible.

2. Curl- The exercise involves flexing the lower leg against resistance towards the buttocks.

3. Pull- exert force on (someone or something) so as to cause movement toward oneself.

4. Balance- he ability to control your body's position, whether stationary or while moving

5. Bend- refers to movement around any joint, like a student bending her elbow forward in order to
touch her fingers to her nose

6. Swing- to cause to move vigorously through a wide arc or circle

7. Turn- on the other hand, refers to a circular movement of the body where the base is released

8. Sway- move or cause to move slowly or rhythmically backward and forward or from side to side

9. Push- to move or endeavor to move away or ahead by steady pressure without striking

10.Twist- refers to rotating body parts around an axis while the base stays stationary.

Locomotor Movements

1. Slide- sideways movement. The students will move to their right or their left with the appropriate
shoulder leading the direction of the slide.

2. Step-this are the move of our feet

3. Walk- As the left foot is on the ground the right foot is in the air moving forward.

4. Run- faster locomotor skill. During a run, the feet are both in the air at the same time.

5. Gallop- skill that can be performed with either foot as the lead. One foot is placed in front of the
opposite foot.
6. Jump- two footed skill. Students will stand with both feet together and will jump with both feet
together.

7. Leap- is when a student leaves the ground off of one foot (i.e. left foot) and will land on the opposite
foot (i.e. right foot).

8. Crab walk - slow movement. The students will need to turn their heads to watch where they are going.

9. Hop- a one footed skill. Students stand on one foot and will hop with the one foot.

10.Skip- equires the students to alternate their motion from the left side to the right and then continue
to alternate from left to right.

11.Roll- to arrive at a place especially later than usual or expected

out), or poorly fitted shoes.

Get enough rest and avoid overtraining. Do cross-training exercises to build strength and endurance in all
parts of your body. Always wear proper shoes and attire.

Masskara festival in Bacolod, because even though there are tough times, you can pull through in the
end with hardwork and determination .
