Jeevananda Reddy filed Writ a Petition No.9386/07 seeking a declaration that the action of the respondents in not taking steps to protect the catchment erea and area around Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar Lakes upto 10 Kms. from Full Tank Level from encroachments & constructions and development in tune with. the letter and sprit of G O.Ms.No.111, dated. 08.03.1998 as unconstitutional and for a consequal directions to the respondents to cancel the approvals given in violation of _-G.0.MS.No.111, dated.08.03.1996 which abstract the water flow or cause air or water pollution ee in the reference 3” cited, the learned Advocate General of Andhra Pradesh has informed that the Writ Petition has come up for hearing before the Division Benon of Hon'ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 11.10.2007 and the Division Bench took serious view about the constructions which are coming up in the above mentioned area and directed the Government to issue appropriate orders to all concerned departments, stalling the entire construction activity within the upstream area of Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar Lakes.
