As a palm tree cannot swan without wind I want to register my appreciations to the team of
FAMEG ENGINEERING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION Limited for the off and on
field experience gained from them and also to Michester Engineering Nigeria Limited for the
support, also to the Project Manager of NUR & CO. Nigeria Limited and to a brother like
friend Ayanleke R. kayode and the host of others who have made this program a reality.

ABSTRACT

This report contains detail of industrial work carried out as part of the requirement for the
award of Bachelor of Science (B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering.

The report is divided into Three (3) chapters.

Chapter one contains the overview Industrial Training Programme SIWES, (history,
objectives, stakeholders, etc.). It also covers the aims, scope, objectives of this report.

Chapter twO contains detail of works undertaken during the period of the attachment vis-à-
vis the experience gained. This includes construction of concrete structures; setting out of
building, foundation (pad foundation with ground beams), formworks, block setting and
block laying (both substructure and superstructure), roof and external works (rendering and
plastering) structural detailing of a building, challenges and limitations and of course general
observations during the period of the industrial training. Etc.
