Task 5. Listening Script.

There are four rooms in my house. There are two rooms downstairs and two
rooms upstairs.

The living room and kitchen are downstairs. The kitchen is small. It is on the
left. The living room is big. It is on the right.

In the living room, there are a red table and two green chairs on the left. There
is a white shelf behind the table. The sofa is on the right. There is a beautiful
picture above it.

In the kitchen, there are a blue fridge, a white stove, and a grey sink. There are
dirty plates in the sink and a big pan on the stove. There is an orange kettle next
to the sink.

Upstairs, the bathroom is on the left and the bedroom is on the right. The
bedroom is bigger than the bathroom. The bathroom is the smallest room in the
house.

In the bathroom, the bath is on the left. The sink is next to the bath. The toilet
is on the right. There is a long mirror above the sink.

There are two beds in the bedroom. One is on the left and the other is on the
right. The bed on the left is smaller than the bed on the right. There are purple
and yellow pictures above the beds and a big brown wardrobe between them.

Task 8. Spot the differences.

Each student is given one of the pages below showing the image of a house.

In pairs, they describe the pictures and ask questions to find 10 differences
between the pictures.

Students should be encouraged to use there is/there are, prepositions of place,
