Reflections

At first I thought it was going to be very hard to choose a subject and then I remembered how at
the beginning of the year after I got out of work I got in my car and started driving. I noticed
something felt wrong as I was driving out of the parking lot and then I noticed that my tire light
was on. My tire was flat. I called my brother who told me it would be fine to drive home. I got
home and my dad told me I had to learn how to check the tire pressure, add air and release it.
So he talked me through the steps on how to do it. I was super happy that I learned how to do
this. So when I thought about what I know that others may not know how to do I thought of this
because up until a couple months ago I didn't know how to do it.

How I decided on the medium that I choose was a very hard decision. I felt like both the video
and the sway would work. I decided to do the sway because not everyone watching my video
would have the same materials I have and am using so it would be a bit different which would
cause the person watching to be confused. I do think my sway project flows smoothly and is
easy to understand.

It honestly wasn't too difficult to select the textual and visual information that I added to my
project. I had all the tools that were needed to be used for my project so I just took pictures of
them off my phone, sent them to myself by email. Then pulled up my email on my computer,
downloaded them and then added them to my project. I liked that I had my own pictures of the
tools I needed because I was able to get the angles I needed to show.

How I will be able to transfer the skills that I developed through these projects to my future
workplace is because of these projects I now know how to use sites I had no idea existed. With
these projects I learned a lot of technical things that I did not know before taking this class. I
definitely think this will help me in the future to be able to learn and use different sites I've never
used before to do workplace work.

The final things I would like to say about my project is that I personally think it came together
very well. I think anyone who has never checked their tires, added air or released air from their
tirese will be able to now with my instructions. I think my instructions are for everyone from
beginners to people who know what they are doing. They don't drag on, they get straight to the
point but with enough information to know what you are supposed to do.

SLO
Project Analysis: The audience of my project are people with cars that don't already know how
to check their tire pressure, add pressure and release pressure. My instructions will help my
readers by saving them time and a hassle that can be avoided. Nobody wants a blow out. Every
weather you're late, on time, going to school, work, vacation, the store etc. A blowout can ruin
someone's day. Not only that but it could possibly cost them their lives. With my simple
instructions and tools you can make sure you will never have a blow out. I mean I'm not saying it
can never happen but this could help prevent it from happening. Say you're at work and your tire
is flat but you don't know how flat it is. With the tire gauge you can check your tire pressure to
see if it is safe to drive or if you need to be picked up by someone.

Visual Communication:
I think with my project that I provided the right amount of pictures. I don't have many but I have
the important ones that will be needed to complete the steps in my project. I think all the steps in
my project are important because if you miss a step you won't be able to complete what my
project is about. I don't think my project needed anything else added as it would take away from
the point of it.

Production and delivery:

To make my project successful and meaningful would be to do what I did. I think my project is
successful because anyone who needed to check their tire pressure, add pressure or release
pressure would be able to do so. The font size of my project is perfect in my opinion. It's not too
big but not too small that you might miss something important. The only color my project has is
the pictures and that's for a reason. I think too much color can take away from the main point of
the project and be distracting. I chose to use number bullets on my project as it is what I felt
would be more appropriate and would work better for this type of project. I also find that bullet
numbers are easier to follow and in this type of project you need to be able to closely follow
instructions.
