The Circuit by Francisco Jimenez was about a Mexican boy named
Francisco and his family. They cross the border from Mexico to California for a better life as migrant workers. They packed up and moved each season to find work, only to endure hardships and the struggle of having to start over every few months. Then, when they moved to Corcoran after living in Santa Maria, their lives also changed. He was already at his second school in California. The good news was that he made a friend there right away, but the bad news was that that friend also disappeared. Once Panchito arrived in Fresno, he would meet friendly neighbors and make new friends, which made him happier. By the end of the book, Francisco and his family move back to Francisco's favorite city, Santa Maria.
In my opinion, Panchito is a hard-working boy who helped his family a
lot to improve their lives. He also made an effort to make money and has emotional feelings. Luckily, he had a chance to go to school. I appreciate him.
