3. ELIGIBILITY:

(a) A candidate must not be less than 18 years and above 32 years of age as on OS.lL,2O2t.
However, the upper age limit is relax-able in accordance with the orders issued by the Govt. of Arunachal
Pradesh from time to time in respect ofArunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe candidates.
(b) A candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering of any recognized
University or Institution with at least one ofthe following subjects.

(iiD PHYSICAL TEST: Walking Test of a distance of 25 Kms and 14 Kms to be completed in 4 (fourJ
hours by Male and Female candidates respectively.
(1) For Male candidates = 25 Kms in 4 hours.
(2J For Female candidates = 1,4 Kms in 4 hours

Note : The Physical Test will be qualiffing in nature

The candidates who have already appeared in final examination of the qualifying degree and
waiting for result shall also be eligible to apply. However, the candidates who have declared to have
qualified in the written examination have to produce certificate and mark-sheet in original of passing
degree at the time of Viva-voce/lnterview.

4. METHOD OF SELECTION: The eligible candidates will be required to appear in the written
examination in the following subjects:

(a) COMPULSORYSUBIECT.

(1J General Knowledge 100 marks


[2) General English (Essay & Precise writing etc) 100 marks
[3) Mathematics [Secondary/Matriculation or equivalent
Standards) 100 marks
[4J Optional subjects [2 subjects carrying 200 marks each] 400 marks
(5) Viva-voce B0 marks

A candidate is to select any 2(wo)of the sub.iect listed at Sl. No. 3(b) above but will not be allowed to
offer the following combination of subjects.

(i) Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering & Veterinary Science.


(iD Chemical Engineering and Chemistry.
(iiD Computer Application/Computer Science and Computer Science & Engineering.
(ivl Electrical Engineering and Statistics.

The candidates securing a minimum of 33% or more marks in each written examination
papers and has secured 450lo of marks out of aggregate total marks in the written examination papers
shall be eligible for Viva-voce. On the other hand, it will further mean that selection for Viva-voce shall
be based on the aggregate total mark secured in the written examination papers and sub,ect to ratio
of 1 :3. The candidates securing less than 330lo ofmarks in any of written examination paper shall not
be eligible in the Viva-voce. However, the Selection Committee or Commission may lower the'Cut off
Marks' of 45% to certain extent, in case of non-availability of APST candidates securing the 'Cut off
marks'.

(b) MEDICAL FITNESS: Those candidates who are declared to have qualified in the written
examination will be called for Medical Test followed by Viva-voce/lnterview.

5. [n case there are a large number of applicants, the Commission may conduct Initial
Recruitment Test (OMR Bosed Objective Type) on General Knowledge and Generol Studies
Paper carrying 700 marks to limit the number of candidates for the Written Examination to
L2 times of the total posts.

6. FEE: Candidates are required to pay fee of Rs. 100/- for APST candidates and Rs.150/- only
for others through online mode only.

7, HOW TO APPLY: Candidates are required to apply online only through Website
www.appsc.gov,in Brief instruction for filling up of online application is available on the above
mentioned website.
Syllabi ofoptional subjects can be downloaded from the above mentioned website.

B. Documents to be uploaded.
Candidates must upload scanned copies ofthe following documents along with the application

(i) Scanned signature ofthe candidate on white paper with black in pen (20 kb to 60 kb)
(ii) Recent pass-port size photo (size 40 kb to 100 kb).

9. Prior to Viva-voce/lnterview. Candidates declared qualified in the written examination will have to
submit self-attested Xerox copies of the following documents/information to the Commission one
week prior to the date ofViva-voce/lnterview.

Recent passport size photographs.


) Self-attested Xeroxed copies of Degree certificates and mark-sheet issued by the Assistant
Registrar/Registrar/Controller of Examination/Vice-Chancellor of the concerned University to
ascertain degree.
