SOUTH KOREA AND JAPAN


BRIEF DESCRIPTION- each country that are relevant to this activities.

1. The Republic of Korea is one of the few countries that has successfully transformed itself
from a low-income to a high-income economy and a global leader in innovation and
technology. It has achieved a remarkable success in combining rapid economic growth with
significant poverty reduction.
2. Japan has long been a global economic power and a highly developed free-market economy.
Japan’s economic freedom score is 69.9 and is ranked 6 th among 39 countries in the Asia-
Pacific region with its overall score above the regional and world averages.

COMPARE AND CONTRAST REAL INCOME, HEALTH, AND EDUCATION

REAL INCOME

The statistic shows that GDP per capita in South Korea is expected to reach 27,490 USD
by the end of 2021, according to Trading Economics global macro models and analyst
expectations in the long-term the South Korea GDP per capita is projected to trend
around 28,075 UDS in 2022. In 2020, real GDP per capita for Japan was 34,366 US
dollars, its real GDP per capita increased from 14,465 US dollars in 1971 to 34,366 US
dollars in 2020 growing at an average annual rate of 1.81%. Japan and South Korea are
indeed a high income economy since both has a level of GDP per capita which is
considered to be a very important indicator of the economic strength of a country and a
positive change is an indicator of economic growth.

EDUCATION

- South Korea’s education is effective since it features a free market, students are strongly
motivated to integrate with different educational and labour processes worldwide.
South Korea’s education system is one of the strongest in the world, but it is also one of
the most difficult. Japan has one of the world’s best educated populations and they
have the best education due to the fact that their educational system is excellent since
the teaching in the country is about the quality of lessons, not the quantity.

CONCLUSION

South Korea and Japan differ in many way such as the geographic area and its population. But,
regardless of its differences we can see that both country are a high income economies due to the
fact that both countries are competent and has almost the same way of developing their
countries.
