A note on behalf of Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella.

I'd want to address you all with some much-anticipated news regarding Microsoft
and a very fresh and impending enterprise. Microsoft has agreed to purchase
Activision Blizzard. As the majority of you are aware, Activision blizzard is the
creator of one of our all-time favourite video games, Call of Duty: Advanced
Warfare. It is, undoubtedly, a watershed moment for our firm, business, and
industry, for which we are thankful.

The business and I are both really excited about this acquisition and aim to
establish a precedent in the gaming sector as well. I'm also pleased to report that
we've crossed 25 million game pass subscribers across console, cloud, and PC, a
tremendous achievement for the whole Xbox team.

We are well aware of how skilled and efficient the Activision Blizzard team has
historically been. For decades, Activision has ensured that millions of people have
access to famous games and franchises. I'm delighted to announce that by joining
and collaborating, we will concentrate exclusively on enhancing our ability to
provide pleasure to every game available, just as Microsoft has always done. We
lack the capacity and capability to construct the most engaging and one of the most
trendy information systems ever created, but the employees of Microsoft's gaming
division and I hear on will be solely focused on including every area of gaming that
contributes to an excellent gaming experience. We place a high premium on unique
studio cultures. Additionally, we feel or are certain that creativity, achievement, and
autonomy all go hand in hand with treating each individual with decency and
respect. We are both delighted and enthusiastic about the initiative to expand a
proactive inclusion culture to the outstanding teams at Activision blizzard.

We anticipate closing this purchase in fiscal year 23 subject regulatory clearances.

Once the transaction is finalised, we will assume control of the Activation Blizzard
company. This requires us to consistently enhance our workers' life experience and
to foster an atmosphere conducive to daily cultural development. We support and
acknowledge Activision Blizzard's aims and efforts.

Finally, we want to establish a truth regarding Microsoft that may not be well
understood. Microsoft has been carbon neutral on a global scale since 2012 and is
on track to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. The objective is to promote global
sustainable development and low-carbon business practises via sustainable
business practises and cloud-enabling technology. We, as a worldwide
powerhouse, have also launched the Sangam platform, which is based on the
world's biggest professional networking site LinkedIn, which is also owned by the
corporation, and will help semi-skilled individuals find jobs. We are concentrating
our efforts on using this platform to recruit middle-skilled and low-skilled individuals,
as well as to offer vocational training and career chances for everyone. The
platform would also assist individuals in acquiring the skills necessary to fill newly
generated jobs, noting that it has not yet been made public and is still in the private
evaluation stage. At the end of each day, what counts is for each person to strive to
make the world a better place, as we at Microsoft do.
