“Enterprise wide Knowledge Management Systems”
Assigned objective for the management information systems course for the presentation is
“What types of systems are used for enterprise-wide knowledge management and how do they
provide value for businesses” I have divided it into three key learning objectives which are as
below,
1- What is an enterprise wide knowledge management system?
2- What types of systems are used for enterprise wide knowledge management?
3- How enterprise wide knowledge management systems provide value for businesses?

What is enterprise and wide knowledge management system?

In first three slides i have explained enterprise systems; which focus on integrating the
key internal business processes of the firm and wide knowledge management systems with
examples. Also elaborate correlated and explain enterprise wide knowledge management
systems and wide integrated knowledge management systems that who they support different
functions of an enterprise firm, organization or business.

Types of knowledge management systems:

I have explain three major divisions of knowledge management systems with examples
which are,

o Enterprise-wide knowledge management systems


o Knowledge work systems (KWS)
o Intelligent techniques

I have explained each of them and also provide examples in presentation which distinguish them
from each other and make them unique and describe their domains.

Business Value of Enterprise Systems

Explained how enterprise wide knowledge management systems provide value for businesses,
what are the key benefits how those systems are produce value and able to make managers to take
batter decisions in terms to achieve by increasing organizational efficiencies and by providing firm
wide information that increase value addition and decision making for business growth.
