HARF Artwork Assignment

HARF has a need for artwork. HARF would like to have stationary printed with original artwork.
They have asked the 10th grade Community Engagement classes to create artwork that HARF
can choose from (and then have their Facebook followers vote on) to be used on the stationary
that they are having printed.
Guidelines for artwork:
- Artwork must be original.
- Artwork needs to be created at school.
- Artwork can be drawn, painted, or created online (example: mixed media art)
- Artwork needs to easily be able to be printed on stationary
- Artwork should include an animal(s) (and can include Maui scenery, HARF logo, HARF
animal(s), words)
Assignment 50 points in 21st Homework/Classwork category of grading:
- Students will have two block classes to work on assignment.
- Rubric is as follows:
o 30 points - effort/class time used efficiently
o 10 points - creativity (effectively addressing what HARF needs)
o 10 points – visually appealing (assignment is neat and done with care)
o 5 BONUS points – receive additional assignment points if your artwork is chosen
to be used by HARF & their Facebook followers
