🧠LOGOS: an appeal to logic and focuses on arguments that use factual data, statistics, and definitions.
💛 PATHOS: an appeal to emotion. Arguments focus on the audiences’ feelings such as embarrassment, anger,
fear, excitement, etc.
💪 ETHOS: an appeal to a person’s credibility. Arguments focus on the speakers experience, expertise, and
achievements.
❔ Rhetorical Questions: Posing questions to your audience. Often, they come in a SERIES (often 3 questions in
a row). This can promote thought and urgency for the audience.
🔁 Parallel Structure: Repeating the same PATTERN of words, or groups of words. This adds rhythm, shows how
ideas have similar importance, and can make the ideas memorable.
↪ Anaphora: Repeating the start of a phrase. This repetition should be meaningful.
