Difference Between Feelings and
Emotions
Emotions and feelings are both traits we humans share.
According to an article in the journal Psychology Today,
"emotions are multifaceted experiences," including "internal
subjective experiences, facial expressions, and physiological
responses." Combing through people's feelings and emotions
and understanding why they have them is an important role
for mental health professionals.

Those interested in exploring the differences between

feelings and emotions and understanding the mind, human
behavior, and strategic approaches to supporting people
with mental illness often pursue advanced degree programs,
such as a master's degree in counseling. This training is
necessary to understand the difference between feelings and
emotions from a clinical perspective. Let's take a look at this
difference, and how emotions affect many people's daily
lives.
