The second condition is the same as the first condition. We are still thinking about the future.

We
think of a certain condition in the future and the outcome of that condition. But that doesn't
happen. For example, you don't have a lottery ticket. Can you win? Do not! No lottery, no winning!
But maybe you will buy lottery tickets in the future. So in the future you can think like in a dream.
It's not very real, but it's still possible.

Please note that we are considering future situations. We use the past tense to talk about a future
state. We use will + base verbs to talk about future outcomes. The important point about the
second condition is that the possibility of this condition occurring is unrealistic.
