To Whom It May Concern,
1am happy to recommend Amy Gair for an elementary teaching position at Berlin
Brothersvalley Elementary.
Ihave had the opportunity to work with Amy within the last year when she
became a long-term substitute in both first grade and second grade. She adjusted well
to the transition from one grade level to the next in a very short amount of time.
Ihave been able to observe Amy's dedication and determination to challenge the
students as well as give them the opportunity to learn at their own individual learning
ability. She often adjusts classroom teaching to meet the needs that are necessary in
order for students to succeed. She has studied the ELA curriculum, researched
strategies to make learning more beneficial, and has taken on challenges of trying new
techniques to allow the students to become better readers and writers.
Amy communicates regularly with families and has created a great relationship
with both students and parents. Students are aware of her expectations in the
classroom both academically and behaviorally. She also collaborates with colleagues in
a positive manner and asks questions and seeks input when needed.
Asan individual | respect Amy greatly. She balances her busy school and home
life well. No matter the circumstances, she will do whatever it takes to plan, grade
assignments, and communicate in a timely manner. She cares about the success of each
child that enters her classroom. | think our school district would have a great advantage
if Amy was part of our staff. | feel her experience and knowledge is just another
valuable tool to add to our elementary school.
Sincerely,
Marilyn Cornell
