ABSTRACT

In our today's society learning is a crucial part of every teenager's life all over the
world. But due to this pandemic that is happening right now, every school has adapt to
our growing technology and start implementing online classes. Some students may not
agree with it but online class helped a lot of people when it comes to study matter.
Other than it's good traits, online class also has it's downside one of those negative
sides is while listening to a lecture, there are difficuties that are inevitable. It may be
connectivity problem, gadget issues, disturbing background noises, and many more.
Due to this problems, a lot of students are having a hard time understaning their
lesson, especially the hard ones like calculus. That is where education technology
website companies come in, these kind of websites help students learn what they
missed or didn't understand in their past discussion. A website like coursehero.com has
helped a lot of students, especially those who are dealing with the subject calculus.
These kind of websites not only help students, but it can also help teachers who are
having setbacks when it comes to understanding lessons that they're going to teach or
discuss. We researches have chosen this topic becuase we know how hard it is to catch
up to your teacher and classmates whenever you experience difficulties inside an
online class. We, personally know how helpful these websites are, that's why we want
to share this amzaing privilage that we have.

want a clear and concrete answer? Are you interested in what's in the course hero? If
you are, then this research is right for you.

When 24 million students and educators move, amazing things can happen.
Course Hero is a web learning platform where you'll access over 20 million course-
specific study resources contributed by a community of scholars and educators.
Students can find practice problems, study guides, videos, class notes, and step-by-step
explanations for each subject they're studying from economics to literature, biology to
history, accounting to psychology, and everything in between.

With Course Hero, students can quickly find the resources they have to enhance what
they're learning within the classroom. They get guidance for his or her toughest
assignments, gain a deeper understanding of core concepts, and study for exams in
their courses at their schools. By studying with Course Hero, students are prepared to
tackle any class confidently.

A recent study (Redwood city, California, 2006) Andrew Grauer founded Course Hero
at Cornell University for college students to share lectures, class notes, exams and
assignments. In November 2014, the corporate raised $15 million serial A Funding,
with investors that included GSV Capital and IDG Capital. Seed investors SV Angel and
Maveron also participated. In February 2020, the corporate raised an extra $10
million asynchronous B Funding, valuing the corporate at over $1 billion. The Series B
round was led by New View Capital, whose founder and managing partner, Ravi
Viswanathan, joined Course Hero’s board of directors. New View Capital also
contributed $30 million in what’s referred to as an employee offering, a process by
which New View purchased company shares directly from Course Hero employees.

Course Hero profits from students posting previous homework assignments and exam
answers from their classes. As a result, the web site is usually seen as a primary aid to
student cheating. Subscribers can download complete papers that were submitted by
previous students and submit them as their own work. Additionally, the location allows
students to upload homework and find completed work solutions from the site's
contracted workers.
The documents uploaded purchasable are frequently the property of school members,
not of the scholars who post them/sell them. Course Hero's Use Policy states that users
must be authorized to post the file, however, Course Hero doesn't verify this or notify
copyright holders before submissions being uploaded. These files include exams and
their keys, quizzes and their keys, study guides written by instructors. To shield the
rights of the copyright holders, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act requires Course
Hero to expeditiously remove content when it's flagged as infringing its copyright.
However, the method to get rid of copyrighted material is burdensome and
discourages people from following through on such claims. Consistent with some, the
sheer volume of fabric held by Course Hero makes the prospect of takedown requests
unlikely since professors must submit a lengthy request for every individual document
uploaded.
Because Course Hero charges premium membership fees for access to its content, the
web site is an example of contract cheating. Institutions of upper education view
contract cheating as a violation of educational integrity and regularly impose serious
penalties on students caught engaging in contract cheating. Additionally, many
universities are setting out to add uploading content to Course Hero to their list of
educational integrity violations. Course Hero has also been accused of luring students
to get a premium membership to its website with no guarantee that the content they
seek exists on the web site. They also use scholarships and similar giveaways to recruit
students to join up for a membership with little to no transparency regarding what
number scholarships are rewarded. Taking advantage after all Hero’s resources to
supplement your studies, enhance your understanding of a subject, or expand your
resume skills isn't cheating. Taking the initiative to induce the assistance you would
like or explore new topics is very important and demanding for future success.
However, we acknowledge that some students don't use Course Hero within
the manner that it had been intended.
Course Hero doesn't tolerate infringement of copyright, plagiarism, or cheating of any
kind. Anyone who misuses Course Hero to realize an unfair advantage; submits another
member's content as their own; or violates any law, regulation, ethics code, or school
code are permanently banned from the platform.

Conceived by students and Profs, Course Hero provides access to old tests, homework
problems, textbook answers, and class notes. It also offers the ability to form study
groups where you can share files and exchange ideas.

Statement of the Problem

Course Hero evaluations has the majority of buyers are disappointed with their
purchases. Customer support, credit card, and tutor account issues are the most
common complaints about Course Hero. In the category of Homework Sites, Course
Hero is ranked too low. Students and instructors may exchange and access high-quality
resources on Course Hero's open platform. Course Hero gives students a second
chance to study stuff that they didn't comprehend the first time a professor presented
it by giving class notes, prior examinations, and other resources. You can acquire ideas,
learn which tests and homework issues were the most challenging, and gather
resources to help you better teach your classes.

Hypothesis

- It is hypothesized that the website entitled course hero is very benificial to the
students specially for those who are dealing with calculus.
Scope and Delimitation
The study will cover the determination of the effects of coursehero website to students
dealing with calculus. The primary subjects of this research will consist of the Grade 11
students enrolled in academic year 2021-2022. The study will be limited to ten (01)
Grade 11 students who are in the STEM section of Academic Senior High School of STI
Sta. Mesa. Furthermore, the participants will be purposely selected and asked
individually if they have used the website and if it helped them understanding calculus.
The participants who will be interviewed will also be asked if they are part of the honor
students inside their classroom and if the coursehero website helped them reach that
milestone. On the other hand, those who are not part of the honor students, will be
determined if they still had a hard timne dealing with calculus even if they're already
using the coursehero website.

Significance of the Study

The results of this study are intended to benefit the following:

The researcher believes that this study will not only provide data useful to her, but also
to the following categories of individuals.
For the student's benefit. Senior high students, in particular, will benefit much from
using course head to study calculus more simply.

For the teachers.

- For teachers, the results of this study will assist them in teaching calculus to
students more effectively, due to the help of the course head

For the future researcher.

- The findings of this study will help them understand calculus and pave the way
for future research into similar concerns.

Definition of Terms
The following terms are operationally and conceptually defined in this present

study as follows:

 New View purchased company – is when one firm buys and takes over the
activities and assets of another, this is known as an acquisition. The acquiring
company is the one that buys another, while the acquired, or target, firm is the
one that is bought.
 infringement of copyright - is the use of works protected by copyright without
permission for a usage where such permission is required, thereby infringing
certain exclusive rights granted to the copyright.
 Plagiarism - is when you display someone else's work or ideas as your own,
with or without their permission, by integrating it into your work without proper
attribution.
 Premier Membership – is joining the Scheme after purchasing a membership
and is eligible to access the advantages associated with Premium Membership.
