RECOMMENDATION LETTER FOR ALTERNATE SCHOOL DRRM COORDINATOR

Sir:

May I recommend to your good office the designation of Mrs. JENELYN V. OLONAN, TEACHER III as
the Alternate School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Coordinator of 106571
STA. INES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL for School Year 2021-2022 who assist the SDRRM Coordinator in
managing disaster risk reduction procedures and protocols in the school.

Mrs. JENELYN V. OLONAN shall be vested the Roles and Responsibilities of Alternate School DRRM
Coordinator of which he must to fulfill, follow, accomplish and be committed to. To wit:

1.) Acknowledge receipt of advisories and reminders from the SDS and/or the Division DRRM
Coordinator, and the local DRRMC;
2.) Assist the SDRRM Coordinator in the conduct and other disaster prevention, mitigation and
preparedness activities in school;
3.) Assist the SDRRM Coordinator in the conduct of an annual student-led risk identification and
mapping within and around the school premises to ensure a safe environment that is conducive to
teaching and learning (DepEd Order 23, S. 2015);
4.) Communicate notable results of risk-assessment and other disaster preparedness activities to the
SDRRM Coordinator or School Head;
5.) Ensure the availability of updated baseline education data of the school;
6.) Cooperate with the SDRRM Coordinator in the conduct of relevant and necessary capacity-building
activities for the school;
7.) Report to the SDRRM or School Head any hazard affecting the school operations such as flood,
conflict, fire, among others;
8.) Submit situation report and provide real-time updates to the SDRRM Coordinator or School head;
9.) Assist the SDRRM Coordinator in accomplishing the Rapid Assessment of Damages Report (RADAR)
within 72 hours after any hazard or emergency via SMS or Mobile Application;
10.) Track and report the progress of recovery and rehabilitation initiatives to the SDRRM
Coordinator or School Head;
11.) Function as Secretariat of the School DRRM Coordinator Committee.

His/Her appointment as Alternate School DRRM Coordinators is in addition to the duties and
responsibilities of his/her present position, shall not entail additional compensation and shall be valid
until superseded by a new appointment from your office.
