Semi Detailed Lesson Plan in Mathematics 2

I. Objectives
By the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
a) define subtraction
b) identify the parts of a subtraction in a problem
c) Perform subtracting numbers

II. Subject Matter


A. Topic: Meaning of Subtraction
B. Reference: Math book. pp. 128
C. Materials: Laptop, PowerPoint presentation, and video presentation.

III. Procedures
A. Preparation
The teacher will begin the class by greeting the learners, leading the prayer, and
checking the attendance.

B. Motivation
The teacher will give a story that has a problem to solve by subtracting. After reading
it, the teacher will ask learners to analyze it and tell her what will be the operation to
be used. Students will answer the questions of the teacher.

C. Lesson Proper
 The teacher will also flash the lesson using PowerPoint presentation for showing
the learners what is the meaning of subtraction.
 The teacher will discuss the parts of a subtraction in a problem. The teacher will
also give examples to learners to better understand the topic.

D. Activity
The learners will answer one by one the given problem given by the teacher. Teacher
will ask first before the learners will answer it.

E. Generalization
The teacher will ask learners to define what is subtraction. The teacher will also ask
learners what are the parts of subtraction problem.

IV. Evaluation
The teacher will give an activity to learners. 5 items only and they will solve it.

V. Assignment
Advance reading for our next lesson.
