The Time Bandits

The Time Bandits are back!

A year has passed by and the Garden of my friends is again set up for the concert with the
Time Bandits. The guest drift in and greet each other with enthusiasm, happy to see each
other again.
The hostess welcomes everyone and turns the stage over to the musicians.
The expectant silence among the guest is finally broken by the pianist Pier and the flutist
Andrea beginning the long awaited concert. In perfect harmony the flute and the keyboard
play together, sending soft flows of music into the air. The listeners eagerly absorb it and the
gentle sounds spread out through the trees and flowers of the garden out into the sky.
Excited applause acknowledges the first piece urging the musicians to continue. The flute
begins with a deep voice as if coming out of the depth of a big mountain. Slowly the sound
grows louder but still clearly caught inside the mountain trying to get out.
Outside, the piano is playing lightly like a glockenspiel unaware of the flute’s struggle.
Around it children are playing and crying happily.
Again the attention is drawn to the flute’s deep voice echoing within the mountain’s caves
and hollows to finally escape it to float freely through the trees and up into the sky. Together
with the piano they play around the eager listeners and then quietly settle down back on the
stage.
In a next piece the flute’s music starts up in the clouds, lightly and clearly, floating slowly
down to earth. Here it is warmly welcomed by the piano’s play with the elves of the forest
celebrating their meeting in colorful dances.
Moments later the flute’s notes play with the wind over the water, sailing along with the
seagulls and clouds, whirling around the sails of the sail boats where they are eagerly
greeted by the pianos play like fishes jumping out of the water.
The piano’s playing has wakened the waves of the sea and washes them ashore in immense
breakers. The flute’s song is diving deep down into the green water to join the songs of the
gods of the sea in their enormous underwater caverns. Godly sounds mixed with the seas
rushing up the shore are now accompanied by rain drops dripping down onto the canopy.
The perfect harmony of the Time Bandits’ music with nature’s contribution leave us all
totally spell bound.
Into the ensuing applause the beautifully soft female voice of Dina broke in and took us
again away with her songs about love and happiness. Some of her songs animated the
listeners to hum along and sway in the rhythm on their chairs, others were touching and
telling about life in its many facets. Whether the music was Pop or Classic her voice was
carrying the tunes in perfect style and in powerful flows into the audience and away into the
sky.

Beautiful, Bravo, Bravo, Bravo! Once more the Time Bandits have stolen our time to take us
into their world of enchanted music and through very special moments of enjoyment.
Thank you very much for this great concert!
