A clinical instructor reviewed a student's performance of an image fusion competency. The student imported secondary data, reviewed anatomy on images with physician input, identified corresponding features, closely aligned anatomy in multiple planes, fused images using provided software, and evaluated the final registration. The instructor rated the student's performance as satisfactory on each task and gave an overall passing rating, with a mean score of 100%.

1. Please assign each task a score of Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory.
Unsatisfactory in any essential task constitutes competency failure. The student will repeat the competency at a later date.
Imports the secondary data set in preparation
for accurate image registration with the Satisfactory [2 pts] primary image set.
Reviews the anatomy on the image sets and
seeks input from the physician and/or patient Satisfactory [2 pts] history to accurately identify the primary area of concern.
Identifies the correct features on the
corresponding images to assist with the Satisfactory [2 pts] image fusion process (e.g. tumor mass, bony anatomy, etc.).
Closely aligns the target anatomy on the
image sets in all 3 planes (applying correct Satisfactory [2 pts] directional alignment to include up, down, left, right and rotation)
Fuses the two image sets using the software Satisfactory
tools provided to obtain a reliable rigid Additional Comments: Carissa has a great registration. [2 pts] understanding of how to do fusions of a variety of imaging modalities!!!
Evaluates the final image registration to
assure appropriate matching and orientation Satisfactory [2 pts] of the area of interest.
